We Can Help You…

The Captive Project Church & Ministries began in May of 2007, rooted in a moment of profound tragedy that transformed into a mission of hope. It was a drive-by shooting in an urban Milwaukee neighborhood that took the life of a 4-year-old girl, an innocent victim of the violence plaguing the community. This heartbreaking event pierced the hearts of the founders, stirring a deep sense of purpose in the face of loss and pain.

Moved by the devastation around them and compelled by God’s call, the founders, filled with grief and determination, felt an overwhelming conviction to act. They knew that change was needed, not only to respond to the violence but to address the deeper spiritual and social crises afflicting the community. Thus, The Captive Project was born—a ministry dedicated to bringing hope, healing, and transformation to lives held captive by sin, violence, and despair. Since its inception, The Captive Project has been on a mission to restore individuals, families, and neighborhoods by sharing the love of Christ and building disciples who can lead others out of the darkness and into the light of God’s grace.

The Captive Project is dedicated to sharing the hope and healing of the Gospel with marginalized individuals in high-crime areas affected by drugs and violence. Motivated by Christian values to care for the vulnerable, we see everyone as made in God’s image, deserving dignity and respect. Our method involves providing 3 to 5 years of Christian mentorship to help people rebuild their lives with purpose through Christ’s love. Our goal is to offer support and empowerment, enabling those affected to overcome addiction and violence for a fulfilling life.
